The heat pipe heat exchanger used for gas–gas heat recovery is essentially a bundle of finned heat pipes assembled like a conventional air-cooled heat exchanger. The heat pipe in the heat exchanger can be divided in to three parts: evaporator, adiabatic section and condenser.
